a friend of mine wrote a poem about the name of this clinic.
lazarus
- Craig Edward Flaherty
no intention in the tilt
that births seasons
an accident that summer
patches blue with light
that autumn patches same
with clouds that winter
strips to bristles
the luxuriousness of forest
the persistence of leaves
angled out of attachment
willingly abandoned to the cold
of wind rain ice snow let go
also with the scheming freeze
fungi strings knots their speech arrested
long nights entombed closed coffins
but the unintended tilt of spring
frees the rigor trembles the core
makes flow pump and pound
