Mr. Jae-Hoon Kim has treated a wide range of people from many different walks of life especially those with a history of trauma and abuse, bipolar and psychotic disorders, and substance abuse disorders. He takes special care to thoroughly assess one’s history and symptoms. Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry aims to help people suffering from a combination of mental and physical illness by consulting with them and liaising with other members of the care team.  Mr. Kim realizes the importance of providing collaborative care bridging physical and mental health. Mr. Kim takes special interest in working with persons with psycho-somatic comorbidities by improving interactions with physicians and specialists. For example, close collaboration would be needed for treatment-resistant depression in persons with thyroid instability, depression/impulsivity after brain trauma, UTI-induced delirium in geriatric population, and mania and irritability in persons with polycystic ovarian syndrome.
